What We''re Looking For

- M.Sc. / M.Tech in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science (Mandatory)
- 15-20 years of overall meteorology experience
- Minimum 7 years in Aviation Meteorology / Flight Forecasting
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a 247 Operational Meteorology Workplace (OCC/IOCC/ANSP/Met Office)
- Strong expertise in ICAO Annex 3, DGCA CARs, WMO Standards, SADIS/WAFS
- Hands-on experience with INSAT, Himawari, Doppler Weather Radar, Skew-T, WAFS GRIBs, satellite imagery and aviation weather systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the airline''s Meteorology Strategy aligned with Safety, Operational Performance, and Cost Optimization
- Oversee aviation forecasting, TAF/METAR governance, weather intelligence,



and operational decision support
- Drive modernization of meteorological systems, automation, and predictive analytics
- Ensure regulatory compliance with ICAO, DGCA, and WMO standards
- Lead weather-related safety investigations, operational disruption analysis, and risk mitigation
- Partner with Flight Operations, OCC, Engineering, Dispatch, Airports, and Safety teams
- Lead seasonal preparedness for fog, thunderstorms, cyclones, and severe weather events
- Develop and mentor high-performing teams of aviation meteorologists and operational forecasters.
