The Orbital Welder is responsible for performing precision orbital welding, fabrication, and installation of high-purity piping systems in semiconductor and cleanroom environments

The role ensures compliance with quality, safety, and contamination-control standards while operating orbital welding equipment and maintaining accurate welding documentation

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform orbital welding and pipe installation activities for high-purity gas systems

- Operate and program orbital welding equipment such as AMI and Orbitalum systems

- Follow approved procedures and cleanroom protocols for orbital welding operations

- Purge, cut, face, prepare, and weld tubing and fittings according to project specifications

- Produce daily pre-production weld coupons and prepare them for inspection

- Complete weld logs, inspection records, and quality documentation

- Inspect welds before submission to QC and welding inspectors

- Support fabrication, dimensional checks, and installation activities within cleanroom and semiconductor environments

- Maintain strict material handling, cleanliness, and contamination control requirements

Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of orbital welding experience in high-purity piping systems

- Certification from a formal orbital welding training program or equivalent employer certification

- Experience working in semiconductor and cleanroom environments

- Previous experience with orbital welding in large diameters, open handle

- Ability to set up and program orbital welding equipment such as AMI and Orbitalum systems





- Ability to produce weld test coupons meeting ASME IX visual and X-ray testing requirements

- Solid knowledge of high-purity fabrication techniques and inert gas purge systems

- Experience installing electro-polished tubing and fittings

- Knowledge of pipefitting and mechanical assembly activities

- Ability to read isometric and piping drawings

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Ability to work full shifts, overtime, weekends, and in tight working spaces when required

- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and quality-focused work approach
