Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payments Specialist with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in international accounting and clinical trial financial systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial processing of transactions, including vendor communication, reconciling, and verifying invoices specific to the operations team.

A critical component of this role is proficiency in Medidata configuration, ensuring that clinical trial payment systems are accurately set up and aligned with operational needs. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

1. Trial Payment & Medidata Management

- System Configuration: Manage and support the configuration of Medidata for trial payments, ensuring that system setups accurately reflect contract terms and payment schedules.
- Payment Processing: Oversee the processing of trial payments, ensuring accurate reconciliation of transactions and resolving returned or rejected payments.
- Internal Tracker Updates: Maintain and update internal trackers to ensure oversight on payment processing remains current and accurate across teams.

2. Accounts Payable Support

- PO & Account Creation: Assist the Accounts Payable team in creating accounts and purchase orders (POs) for trial vendors and clinical sites, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently.

3. Audit & Compliance

- Audit Support:



Collaborate with Operations and Accounts Payable during annual audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures (including SOC 1 compliance).

4. Stakeholder Relations

- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to all stakeholders, including vendors, clinical facilities, and internal colleagues, resolving inquiries promptly.

Qualifications :

Educational Background -

- CA or MBA or a relevant degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience & Technical Proficiency -

- International Accounting: A minimum of 4 years of payment experience in an international accounting context.
- Medidata Expertise: Direct experience with Medidata configuration is required, specifically regarding payment modules and clinical trial financial setups.
- Software Skills: * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex spreadsheet analysis.
- Familiarity with financial software such as Mineral Tree, Coupa, SAP, or NetSuite is preferred.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
