Role & responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the assembly and integration function for all six business verticals, ensuring smooth execution of projects from assembly start to final customer acceptance.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor manpower, tools, workstations, equipment, and floor space to optimize utilization across business units.
- Coordinate with design, purchase, stores, quality, projects, production planning, service, and business vertical heads to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, resources, and customer inputs.
- Ensure machines, automation systems, fixtures, panels, mechanical assemblies, pneumatic systems, electrical wiring, and controls integration are completed as per approved drawings and customer specifications.
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly assembly planning reviews to monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, safety requirements, 5S practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Manage prioritization of resources between business verticals based on customer commitments, project criticality, delivery schedules, and business priorities.
- Support trial runs, debugging, validation, factory acceptance tests, customer inspections, dispatch readiness, and site installation preparedness.
- Take ownership for timely completion of installation and commissioning activities at customer sites, ensuring project handover as per agreed scope, schedule, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Support project managers of all six business verticals by providing installation,



commissioning, technical, and resource support required to meet customer commitments.
- Develop and maintain skill matrices for fitters, electricians, technicians, supervisors, and integration engineers, and plan training to improve multi-skilling and productivity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework, improve assembly cycle time, enhance first-time-right quality, and increase overall operational efficiency.
- Review and control assembly-related costs, overtime, consumables, outsourced support, and productivity losses.
- Ensure proper documentation of assembly checklists, inspection records, deviation notes, pending points, customer feedback, and handover documents.
- Build a culture of ownership, discipline, accountability, safety, and customer focus within the assembly and integration team.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 20 -25 years of experience in assembly, integration, manufacturing, or project execution, preferably in automation, SPM, robotics, material handling, automotive, machine building, or industrial equipment sectors.




- At least 58 years of experience in a leadership role managing supervisors, technicians, fitters, electricians, and integration teams.
- Strong exposure to mechanical assembly, electrical integration, controls coordination, testing, commissioning readiness, and customer inspection processes.
- Experience in managing multiple projects or business verticals simultaneously will be preferred.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- Strong leadership, planning, execution, and people management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across six business verticals.
- Sound technical understanding of automation systems, assembly methods, integration practices, and manufacturing processes.
- Solid problem-solving ability with a practical, shop-floor-oriented approach.
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams, customers, vendors, and senior management.
- Knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to work under delivery pressure while maintaining quality, safety, and team discipline.

Desired Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on operations leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent resource management capability, and the maturity to coordinate with multiple business units and customers. The person should be able to bring structure, discipline, speed, and accountability to assembly and integration operations while supporting the growth of the automation business.
