We are looking for a hands-on Senior Controls Engineer to work on the control systems of industrial automation

machines. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and debugging machine-level control logic, servo motion,

PLC logic, I/O systems, sensors, actuators, conveyors, pneumatics, and safety interlocks.

The focus is on making real machines move reliably, safely, and repeatedly on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working inside control panels, reading electrical drawings, checking I/O

signals, tuning drives, debugging sensors, modifying PLC/control logic, and supporting machine commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Control and Commissioning

- Develop, modify, and debug control logic for industrial automation machines.
- Work on machine sequences such as start, stop, reset, homing, jogging, auto cycle, manual mode, fault handling, and

recovery.

- Commission machines on the shop floor and troubleshoot real hardware issues.
- Debug machine behavior by checking sensors, actuators, wiring, PLC logic, servo drives, VFDs, and I/O status.
- Ensure the machine runs reliably in manual, semi-auto, and auto modes.

Motion Control

- Work with servo motors, stepper motors, VFDs, encoders, limit switches, home sensors, and proximity sensors.
- Implement and debug homing, position control, velocity control, jogging, indexing, and synchronized motion.
- Tune servo parameters for smooth motion, repeatability, and reduced cycle time.
- Diagnose drive faults, communication errors, following errors, homing errors, and motion instability.
- Support multi-axis systems such as Cartesian robots, pick-and-place mechanisms, conveyors, feeders, and indexing

units.

PLC / Controller Logic

- Develop and modify PLC or machine controller programs using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block, or

equivalent control logic.

- Implement machine interlocks, alarms, timers, counters, state logic, and fault reset flows.




- Work with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, CAN, Serial, Ethernet/IP, or

Profinet.

- IntegrateElectrical and I/O Debugging
- • Read and understand electrical drawings, control panel wiring, I/O lists, and device manuals.
- • Check digital inputs, digital outputs, analog signals, relay outputs, safety signals, and communication status.
- • Coordinate with the electrical team for wiring corrections, panel modifications, device replacement, and field
- troubleshooting.
- • Verify sensor placement, signal quality, actuator response, and timing between machine operations.
- Safety and Reliability
- • Implement and test emergency stop handling, door interlocks, air pressure checks, overload faults, drive faults, and
- safe stop behavior.
- • Ensure predictable machine behavior during power-up, reset, pause, stop, emergency stop, and fault recovery.
- • Identify practical failure modes and improve the control logic to reduce downtime.
- • Support machine trials, FAT, installation, and field service.
- Required Skills
- • Strong hands-on experience in industrial automation or machine control.
- • Good understanding of PLC/control logic, I/O systems, sensors, actuators, relays, pneumatics, servo drives, and
- VFDs.
- • Experience with motion control: homing, jogging, position moves, velocity moves, indexing, and fault recovery.
- • Ability to read electrical schematics and debug control panel wiring.
- • Experience with at least one industrial controller or PLC platform such as Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Delta,
- Beckhoff, Schneider, Leadshine, or equivalent.
- • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, CAN, Serial, Ethernet/IP,
- Profinet, or OPC-UA.
- • Solid shop-floor debugging ability.
- • Ability to work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and production teams.
- • Ability to guide junior engineers or technicians during commissioning and troubleshooting
