- Develop automation system architecture and control philosophies.
- Prepare PLC/DCS I/O lists, cause & effect matrices, functional design specifications (FDS), and control narratives.
- Review P&IDs;, instrument datasheets, and process documents.
- Prepare instrument index, junction box schedules, and cable schedules.
PLC/DCS Programming
- Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
- Support integration with third-party systems through communication protocols.
Documentation
- Prepare as-built documentation
- Update control logic diagrams and system configuration documents.
- Maintain project records and technical documentation.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems such as:
- Siemens (S7-1200, S7-1500, PCS7)
- Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix)
- Schneider Electric
- Mitsubishi PLCs
- Familiarity with field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and VFDs.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and SIL concepts is desirable.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in EPC projects and industrial plant commissioning.
- Exposure to Biogas, chemical, water treatment, pharmaceutical, or oil & gas industries.
- Experience in control panel testing
- Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 functional safety standards is an advantage.
