Job Description
- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (PQMS).
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and relevant standards.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities.
- Perform site inspections and surveillance to verify workmanship and material compliance.
- Witness testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, aggregates, steel, and marine materials where applicable.
- Ensure proper calibration and use of testing equipment.
- Verify dimensional accuracy, levels, alignment, and tolerances of executed works.
- Monitor laboratory testing activities (field and third-party labs).
- Maintain comprehensive quality records, including:
- Inspection reports
- Material Approvals (MAR)
- Method Statements
- Test Reports
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Corrective Action Reports (CAR)
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.
- Ensure proper document control and traceability of materials and works.
- Review material submittals and technical datasheets.
- Inspect incoming materials for compliance with approved specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors regarding quality requirements.
- Ensure storage, handling, and preservation procedures are followed.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and client representatives.
- Attend quality meetings, site inspections, and progress reviews.
- Provide technical support related to quality issues.
- Assist in project handover documentation and final dossiers.
- Identify deviations from specifications and raise NCRs.
- Evaluate root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Verify closure of NCRs and maintain records.
- Ensure QA/QC activities comply with HSE requirements.
- Promote safe working practices during inspections and testing.
- Support compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor''s/Master''s in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years in quality assurance and quality control for marine projects.
Additional Information
- Proficiency in QA/QC procedures, inspection techniques.
- Excellent understanding of project specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
