Position: Early Career Faculty/ Lecturer - Game Design

Tenure: Permanent

Location: University of Liverpool India Campus, Bengaluru, India

Reports to: Associate Dean (Head of Department) of Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science and Game Design - India Campus, Bengaluru

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Early Career Academic /Lecturer in Game Design to join the founding academic team at the University of Liverpool's India Campus. In this exciting role, you will not only contribute to world class teaching and academic delivery but also play a vital part in shaping a cutting edge, learner centric setting that mirrors the academic excellence of the Liverpool campus.

As an Early Career Academic /Lecturer, you will be expected to bring academic rigor, a student first mindset, and a bold, future ready approach to teaching and learning excellence at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Teaching

- Lead and teach modules related to Game Design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

- Supervise, mentor and advise students on academic related matters.

- Contribute to module development and design, in addition to both teaching and assessment.

- Contribute to the enhancement of students' experience through academic advising, peer mentoring and student belonging initiatives.

Professional engagement and knowledge exchange





- Work closely with academic organisations in knowledge exchange.

- Build relationships with external professional and industry organisations.

Administration

- Participate in and contribute to the running of activities in the Department by undertaking administrative duties as agreed with the Associate Dean.

- To attend relevant academic or management committees.

- Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade as required.

Other skills

- Ability to work co-operatively and effectively with colleagues and show enthusiasm for contributing in general to the department and with colleagues based at the home campus.

- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

In addition to the above, all University of Liverpool, India Bengaluru staff are required to:

Essential Qualifications and Attributes:

- PhD in a relevant subject.

- Ability and enthusiasm to teach Game Design.
