USI Audit & Assurance – Valuation – Analytics Specialist Senior Assistant - FTE

Responsibilities

Serve as a team member for Valuation & Analytics practice. The work will focus on independent pricing of financial instruments, building and executing data analytics to support audit objectives, using vendor data and tools such as Capital IQ, LSEG Eikon, Markit, Bloomberg, FinMechanics etc.

Serve as a team member on engagements where responsibilities include detailed execution of valuation and modelling projects and documentation of modelling methodologies and results.

Preparing audit documentation of valuations.

Ability to collaborate with audit teams across companies of all sizes and across multiple industries.

Handling price challenges from the audit team and ability to explain difficult financial modelling/valuation concepts to diverse audiences and to experts at various clients

Responsible for building and managing relationships and communications with audit team members.

Educational qualification

Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or financial engineering, Quantitative Finance, or B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering.

Preferred: MBA in Finance

Preferred certifications: CFA, FRM, or CQF.

Work Experience:

- 1-4 years (Staff)

Skills required

Knowledge of financial derivatives, structured products, private equity and energy and commodities, including valuation techniques and models, is a plus.

Strong financial modeling capability, including discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiples, precedent transaction, and option pricing analyses.

Experience working with large datasets across interest rates, FX, Credit, and Equity from multiple market data vendors is preferred.

Strong analytical and technical skills, including experience with tools such as Refinitiv, Markit, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Monte Carlo simulation tools, Numerix, and ICE Data Derivatives, are preferred.

Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, VBA and SQL is highly desirable.

Familiarity with financial markets, valuation of financial instruments, trading, deal structuring,



or risk management is preferred.

Ability to independently perform complex valuation analyses and assess key model assumptions, limitations, and sensitivities.

Experience with Counterparty Valuation Adjustment (CVA) or ISDA SIMM is a plus.

Strong presentation, communication, client management, project execution and mentoring skills required.

Ability to explain complex financial modeling and valuation concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Hours:

11AM to 8PM. Night shifts may be needed during January and February
