Key Responsibilities

Perform incoming material lot inspections for GIS/HV electrical products and components.

Inspect and evaluate commodities such as:

o Castings

o Painted components

o Machined parts

o Fabricated parts

Conduct layout inspections and verify dimensional conformity against drawings and specifications.

Analyze and review CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) reports.

Prepare and review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and related documentation.

Identify, document, and process supplier quality rejections/non-conformities.

Coordinate with suppliers for quality concerns, corrective actions, and resolution of non-conformances.

Maintain quality records and ensure compliance with ISO quality management requirements.

Support calibration management activities for inspection and measuring equipment.

Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and supplier quality teams.

Ensure accurate quality data management and reporting.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.

Shift-wise working as per business requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Education

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 68 years of relevant experience, OR

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 35 years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Experience

Experience in 2 + Years inGIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) or High Voltage Electrical Products is preferred.

Hands-on experience in 2+ years in incoming quality inspection, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality functions.

Technical Competencies

Strong knowledge of GDT (Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing) .

Robust Knowledge of applicable material and testing standards.

Experience in:





o Lot inspection

o Layout inspection

o FAI preparation and review

o CMM report analysis

o Supplier quality management

Knowledge of ISO quality system documentation and compliance requirements.

Calibration management knowledge.

Sound knowledge of engineering drawings and mechanical inspection techniques.

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Advanced MS Excel.

Working knowledge of SAP QM.
