Optimize engine parameters in EFI system to achieve targeted performance, fuel efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role requires hands-on testing, dataset management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and enhance overall product quality.

Required Experience: 2-6 Years
Role Description
- Perform EMS calibration for 2W gasoline engines, including sensor/actuator characterization, fuelling/ignition optimization, drivability tuning, emission compliance, and OBD calibration.
- Plan and execute calibration activities in alignment with project timelines and performance targets.
- Handling calibration & data acquisition tools (ETAS-INCA, CANape, AVL Indicom, data loggers) and perform calibration dataset optimization, validation, and release through AVL CRETA
- Validate EMS software and hardware components, ensuring readiness for mass production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle-level performance, drivability, and emission related issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical support to quality and service teams to address field issues with data analysis and technical solutions
- Handling engine/chassis dynamometers and emission analysers for EMS calibration and performance validation
- Collaborate with EMS suppliers to meet development milestones and ensure the fulfilment of all technical deliverables.
- Document calibration processes, test results, and lessons learned to support standardization and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure safety compliance and contribute to enhance performance and profitability by generating value-added ideas
Functional competency
- Understanding of gasoline and alternate fuel engine combustion processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of engine management SW and control systems(Software)
- Familiarity with engine management system components and their functions(Hardware)
- Expertise in calibrating engine parameters in EFI systems to achieve performance, fuel efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in quality management tools (e.g., FMEA, QC)
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards and Emission/OBD regulations
- Solid analytical and data interpretation skills
- Ability to perform patent analysis and support innovation activities
