You will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and procedures to monitor the health status of animals, diagnose illnesses, and contribute to the overall welfare of our animal population. Responsibilities:

- Laboratory Tests- Conduct routine laboratory tests on samples collected from animals, including blood, urine, and fecal samples, using standard laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Diagnostic Tests- Perform diagnostic tests to detect common diseases and health conditions in animals, such as parasitic infections, bacterial or viral infections, and metabolic disorders.
- Preparation for Analysis- Prepare specimens for analysis, including proper labeling, handling, and storage to ensure the accuracy and integrity of test results.
- Maintenace- Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory equipment and facilities in good working condition, following safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Checks- Perform calibration checks as required.
- Assistance- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
- Record Keeping- Record and maintain accurate laboratory records, including test results, observations, and other relevant data, using electronic or paper-based systems.
- Collaboration- Collaborate with veterinary staff and other team members to interpret test results, diagnose health issues, and develop appropriate treatment plans for animals.
- Support and Care- Provide support during medical procedures and surgeries by preparing samples, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting with post-operative care as needed.
- Stay Updated- Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and laboratory technology through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.




- Waste Disposal- Making sure waste is properly removed.
- Performing other related duties as required to support the operation of the animal shelter and the welfare of its residents.

Knowledge of:
- In-depth knowledge of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Workplace) Systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and presentation software.
- Familiarity with typical office protocols, methods, and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safe working procedures.
- Skill in maintaining precise record-keeping.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in biology, veterinary science, animal science, or related field.

- Total 5+ years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a veterinary clinic or research facility.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures, including sample processing, microscopy, and diagnostic testing methods.
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and instruments, such as centrifuges, microscopes, and analyzers.
