1. Prepare and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), and Method Statements.
2. Conduct WPS/PQR/Welder qualification tests as per applicable standards.
3. Ensure calibration of inspection tools NDT instruments (UT, RT, PT, MT, Hardness tester, etc.).
4. Ensure correct fit-up of shell plates, annular plates, roof structure, and nozzles.
5. Welding Inspection: 5.1. Check root gaps, bevel angles, and joint preparations. 5.2. Monitor preheating, interpass temperature, and welding parameters. 5.3. Conduct visual inspection of welds and maintain weld history records.
6. Witness of DPT/ RT/ Hydro Test / Pneumatic Test / Vacuum Box Test
7. Verify blasting painting/coating quality (surface preparation, DFT, adhesion test)
8. Prepare final inspection dossiers (QC records,
NDT reports, test certificates, calibration records).
9. Maintain Daily QC Reports and Welding Summary Reports
10. Update Weld Map / Repair Map of the tank
11. Record all NDT and inspection activities with traceability to welders and joints.
12. Prepare Final QC Dossier for handover to client.
