- Review fabrication and erection drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
- Plan daily work activities, manpower deployment, and allocation of tools/tackles.
- Ensure proper sequence of work (Cutting, Fit-up, welding, grinding, alignment, erection, bolt tightening, testing etc.).
- Supervise and monitor fabrication, erection, and installation activities at site.
- Verify material as per drawing and ensure identification (heat no., grade, thickness, etc.).
- Check fit-up, dimensional accuracy, alignment, and welding quality as per WPS.
- Coordinate with QC Engineer/Inspector for stage-wise inspection and clearance.
- Establish and promote Zero Harm vision.
- Ensure all fabrication and erection works are carried out as per approved ITP standards (ASME, IS, API, etc.).
- Ensure workmen follow all safety norms (PPE, permits, barricading, scaffolding, lifting tools).
- Conduct toolbox talks and job safety analysis before starting activities.




- Arrange required materials, consumables, welding electrodes, and gas cylinders timely.
- Monitor manpower productivity and avoid idle time.
- Report daily progress, challenges, and requirements to Site Engineer/Manager.
- Guide fitters, welders, and riggers for correct methodology.
- Supervise structural steel fabrication, piping work, tank/vessel erection, and alignment.
- Ensure torquing/bolt tightening, welding, and hydro testing as per procedure.
- Lead workmen and motivate them to achieve targets safely.
