Job Description

- Receive, label, and process clinical specimens (blood, urine, swabs, sputum, stool, etc.) according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform microbiological tests including culture, sensitivity, staining, identification of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms.
- Prepare and maintain microbiological media, reagents, and solutions.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, incubators, autoclaves, and analyzers.
- Record and analyse test results,



ensuring accuracy and proper documentation in laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Follow strict infection control and biosafety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure staff safety.
- Assist in quality control and quality assurance activities, including calibration and validation of laboratory instruments.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide relevant microbiological data for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Stay updated on current microbiological techniques, protocols, and hospital policies.
- knowledge of NABH
- Computer skill Must.
