- Check all site work to make sure it matches the approved blueprints and drawings.
- Ensure that only approved Method Statements are used for executing work on-site to maintain technical consistency.
- Verify that the site team understands and follows the step-by-step procedures outlined in the Method Statements.
- Apply a deep understanding of IS Codes (Indian Standards) to ensure all construction work meets national quality benchmarks.
- Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every technical process on-site.
- Implement Quality Management System (QMS) principles to maintain organized and effective workflows.
- Make sure all materials (like cement, steel, and bricks) are tested and approved before use.
- Identify recurring mistakes and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to stop them from happening again.
- Maintain and update detailed checklists for every site activity, from excavation to final painting.
- Ensure every checklist is signed off by the relevant site engineer and contractor before starting the next stage of work.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests on all raw materials at the site (e.g., silt content in sand, water absorption of bricks, and consistency of cement).
- Maintain an updated Cube Register to track every concrete pour,
including casting dates, identification marks, and 7/28-day strength results.
- Visit the RMC plant to check the mix design and ensure the concrete quality is consistent.
- Monitor the moisture content of aggregates and the calibration of weighing scales at the RMC plant.
- Create and follow the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
- Supervise concrete pouring and check the strength of the concrete regularly.
- Monitor high-speed construction systems like Mivan or monolithic shuttering.
- Find any mistakes or defects on-site and report them immediately.
- Make sure all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) are fixed and closed.
- Prepare and organize all quality documents, like inspection reports and pour cards.
- Conduct "Quality Kick-off" meetings to train site teams on quality standards.
- Perform final inspections (snagging) before handing over the building to the client.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and contractors to solve technical issues.
- Ensure the project follows safety and green building standards (like IGBC).
- Keep a daily log of all quality checks and material arrivals.
- Help prepare for ISO audits to keep the company's certifications active.
