Job Responsibilities

The Mechanical Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings and supporting the design and engineering team in the execution of industrial projects.

- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layout drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare drawings for belt conveyors, bucket elevators, feeders, crushers, screens, chutes, hoppers, bunkers, structures, and other material handling equipment.
- Develop plant layouts and equipment arrangement drawings for coal handling, coal washery, mineral processing, and bulk material handling plants.
- Prepare detailed drawings of pulleys, idlers, conveyor galleries, supporting structures, platforms, walkways, and miscellaneous mechanical components.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and material take-off from approved drawings.
- Modify and revise drawings based on client comments and engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with design engineers, project teams, fabrication shops,



and site teams for drawing-related requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable engineering standards, and company drafting practices.
- Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control, and documentation records.

Software Skills

- AutoCAD Mandatory
- ZWCAD – Preferred
- SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor – Added advantage
- MS Excel and MS Office

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of mechanical and fabrication drawings.
- Understanding of structural steel sections and fabrication practices.
- Knowledge of welding symbols, tolerances, dimensions, and engineering drawing standards.
- Experience in bulk material handling systems, conveyors, coal handling plants, or mineral processing plants will be preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Positive coordination skills and attention to drawing accuracy.
