Role & responsibilities

- Prepare detailed engineering and design deliverables for transmission line projects up to 400 kV.
- Perform transmission line design, tower spotting, and route profile analysis.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, layouts, design calculations, reports, and technical documents.
- Carry out transmission tower analysis and design using PLS-TOWER.
- Prepare and review transmission line profiles using PLS-CADD.
- Perform tower spotting and optimize tower schedules based on terrain, electrical clearances, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, survey, and drafting teams for timely project execution.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant IS, IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and client specifications.
- Participate in design optimization, technical reviews, and value engineering activities.
- Maintain project schedules while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
- Provide technical support during project execution and address client comments where required.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in transmission line engineering and design.
- Experience in designing transmission lines up to 400 kV is mandatory.

Required Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of transmission line engineering and structural design.
- Hands-on experience with PLS-TOWER for transmission tower analysis and design.
- Hands-on experience with PLS-CADD for route profile preparation and transmission line design.
- Experience in tower spotting for transmission line projects.
- Knowledge of loading criteria, conductor clearances, sag-tension concepts, and transmission line design standards.
- Familiarity with IS, IEC, and utility/client design standards.
- Ability to review fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and structural calculations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of STAAD.Pro or similar structural analysis software will be an added advantage.
