Role & responsibilities :

- Windows operating system management and integration knowledge. Specifically, someone who can integrate and implement Windows platform.

- Builds for current versions of Windows

- Research/identify/test/deploy system OS and 3rd party patch updates (Security as well as periodic software maintenance releases)

- Setup/configure system security and entitlements

- Setup/configure access to local and SAN based storage

- In-depth understanding and ability to configure various tunable system resource/parameters (Advanced network configuration, Shared memory, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, NTP, FTP, YP, TCP/IP, NFS)

- PowerShell and/or Python scripting

- Understand kernel and its components (drivers, libraries process intercommunication)

- Perform performance troubleshooting using standard O/S tools and third parity debuggers, memory and CPU utilization, I/O components and other peripheral





- Knowledge of enterprise backup infrastructure, ideally Veritas NetBackup

- Perform Windows packaging

- Configure and maintain Windows Volume Manager

- Hands on experience working within a commercial could environment (AZURE preferred). Experience including but not limited to

1. AZURE conformance and compliance

2. System build automation

3. Hybrid cloud management/administration

4. Cost management

5. Systems migration to/from AZURE

- - Hands on administration level experience with VMWare ESXi 5.x or higher and related technologies such as VCC, SRM, and Orchestrator:

1. Design and build ESXi servers

2. Security and performance tuning

3. Design and implement virtual machine builds, clones, etc

- Various automation activities using SRM/Orchestrator
