Role & responsibilities

- Validate and verify Android Open Source Project (AOSP) platform modifications and customizations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation strategies for Android platform features.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing for Android platform components.
- Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to drive issue resolution.
- Validate Android Framework, HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), System Services, and native platform components.
- Work closely with Android platform developers to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform debugging using Android tools such as Logcat, ADB, Bugreport, Systrace, and other diagnostic utilities.
- Validate platform stability, boot-up sequence, performance, power management, and system reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions,



and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Document validation results, defect reports, and test execution metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

- 6+ Years of Strong experience in Android Platform Validation.
- Hands-on experience validating Android Open Source Project (AOSP) modifications.
- Solid understanding of Android Framework, System Architecture, Boot Process, Binder IPC, and HAL.
- Excellent programming skills in C++ and Java.
- Good understanding of Linux operating systems and embedded software concepts.
- Experience with Android debugging tools including:
- Experience in defect tracking and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Android build systems and platform integration.
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks is an added advantage.
