Job Description - PCB Engineer

We are looking for a skilled PCB Engineer responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faulty Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in component-level repair, soldering/de-soldering, and testing of electronic circuit boards.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty PCB boards to identify component-level failures.
- Perform repair, rework, and replacement of defective SMD and Through-Hole (THT) components.
- Carry out precision soldering and de-soldering using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Inspect PCB boards for damaged tracks, dry solder joints, short circuits, and other defects.
- Test repaired PCBs using multimeters and other electronic test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and PCB layouts for effective troubleshooting.
- Maintain repair records and document failure analysis and corrective actions.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety procedures while handling electronic components.
- Ensure repaired boards meet quality standards before release.




- Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams to resolve technical issues and improve repair efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in PCB repair and component-level troubleshooting.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of PCB troubleshooting and repair.
- Hands-on experience in SMD and THT component replacement.
- Proficiency in soldering and de-soldering techniques.
- Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and hot air rework stations.
- Knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and PCB layouts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of IPC standards and ESD-safe practices.
- Experience in repairing electronic control boards, power supply boards, or industrial PCBs.
- Ability to work independently and meet repair turnaround time targets.
