We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Officer to ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for implementing EHS policies, conducting safety audits, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting a solid safety culture across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, statutory regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRA), and safety inspections.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor work permit systems for hot work, confined space, height work, and electrical maintenance.
- Organize safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Conduct emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and fire safety exercises.
- Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and ensure compliance closure.
- Maintain records related to hazardous waste management, environmental monitoring, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Pollution Control Board requirements, fire safety regulations, and other applicable statutes.
- Monitor waste management, ETP/STP operations, and environmental performance indicators.
- Support National Safety Week, Environment Day, and other EHS initiatives.
