About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Plant Manager to lead the overall Production, Operations, and Maintenance (O&M;) functions of our Heavy Media Coal Washery Plant. The ideal candidate should possess solid technical expertise in coal beneficiation processes, plant operations, maintenance planning, statutory compliance, safety management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the overall Production, Operations, and Maintenance (O&M;) activities of the Heavy Media Coal Washery.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations to achieve targeted production and quality objectives.
- Plan optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, equipment, and other plant resources.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Monitor daily plant performance and submit production, maintenance, operational, and MIS reports to the Plant Head/HOD within stipulated timelines.
- Prepare operational policies, SOPs, maintenance schedules, and continuous improvement plans for plant performance enhancement.
- Drive productivity improvement, cost optimization, energy efficiency, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Contracts, Procurement, and Materials Management for timely availability of spares, consumables, and services.
- Monitor project execution, shutdown planning, budgeting, scheduling, and site management activities.
- Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards,



recovery efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Function as the Plant Manager under the Factories Act and ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Establish Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for departmental teams and monitor performance regularly.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production, maintenance, and operations teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to resolve operational issues and ensure uninterrupted plant performance.
- Implement Total Quality Management (TQM), process improvements, and best industry practices.

Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech. will be an added advantage.
- 812+ years of relevant experience in Heavy Media Coal Washery / Coal Beneficiation Plants.
- Strong exposure to Production, Plant Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Process Optimization. Strong communication, reporting, MIS preparation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Coal Beneficiation Processes, Dense Media Separation (DMS), Plant Equipment, Conveyors, Crushers, Screens, Pumps, Thickener, Filter Press, and related systems.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with hands-on experience in Heavy Media Coal Washery (HMCW) plants and proven expertise in Production, Operations, and Maintenance management will be given preference.
