The Engineer in Electrical Maintenance plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of electrical systems within the sinter plant and metallics. This position is responsible for planning and executing both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability. The role demands a strong adherence to safety and statutory standards, ensuring compliance at all times. The Engineer will be tasked with diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults to prevent production losses. Collaboration with production and mechanical teams is essential for coordinating planned shutdowns and maintenance schedules. The role also involves monitoring equipment health and implementing initiatives to improve reliability. Additionally,
the Engineer will supervise maintenance teams, contractors, and shift engineers, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently. Maintaining comprehensive maintenance records and reports for audits and analysis is a key responsibility, along with managing the inventory of electrical spares and consumables. The Engineer will also coordinate with vendors for procurement, servicing, and technical support, while supporting the commissioning and installation of current equipment and system upgrades. Driving energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives is also a critical aspect of this role.
