We are looking for a qualified and customer-focused Retail Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counseling patients on the safe and effective use of medicines, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining productive pharmacy operations. Candidates must possess strong pharmaceutical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a valid Pharmacy Council registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications accurately in accordance with physician prescriptions and pharmacy regulations.
- Review prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, side effects, storage, and adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
- Conduct drug interaction analysis and recommend appropriate interventions when necessary.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock levels, expiry dates, and replenishment of medicines.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain accurate prescription records and pharmacy documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council guidelines, regulatory standards, and applicable pharmacy laws.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
