Key Responsibilities:

- Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify, evaluate & manage reliable suppliers for various types of packaging materials (paper, plastic, glass, etc.).

- Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and availability.
- Negotiation:
- Should have excellent negotiation skills.
- Negotiation with different category of vendors (existing & recent) for comparative pricing & other commercial terms.
- Negotiating commercial terms with existing suppliers as per quarterly budget.
- Define major procurement articles & plan effective measures for controlling costs as well as inflation.
- Vendor Management:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, cost, and compliance.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms of purchase.

- Inventory & Forecasting:





- Coordinate with the production and planning teams to forecast packaging material needs.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing overstock and wastage.

- Cost Optimization:

- Continuously analyse procurement costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality.

- Compliance & Documentation:

- Ensure all materials meet regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and supplier documents.

- Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with design, production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure packaging aligns with product requirements and timelines.
