Qualification: Diploma in Metallurgy/Mechanical with 2 - 3 years of experience in a Mechanical/Metallography Testing Laboratory.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of mechanical testing such as Tensile, Bend, Impact (Charpy), and Hardness testing.
- Basic understanding of metallography and sample preparation.
- Experience in specimen cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and material specifications.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Knowledge of material traceability and test documentation.
- Basic understanding of ASTM, ASME, ISO, or IS testing standards.
- Experience in preparing test reports and maintaining laboratory records.
- Knowledge of calibration and preventive maintenance of testing equipment.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
