Role & responsibilities

- Lead the Engineering & Maintenance department.
- Ensure maximum uptime of all tyre manufacturing machinery.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Manage plant utilities (compressors, boilers, chillers, DG sets, HVAC, etc.).
- Lead machine installation, commissioning, and projects.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and improve equipment reliability (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
- Drive automation, energy-saving, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance resources.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Safety teams.
- Lead and develop engineers, maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and external service providers.
- Support continuous improvement, TPM,



and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1015+ years of experience in engineering and maintenance within the tyre, rubber, or process manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading the engineering function in a manufacturing plant.
- Solid knowledge of tyre manufacturing equipment, utilities, automation, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reliability engineering.
- Proven experience in CapEx projects, plant expansion, and equipment commissioning.
- Hands-on knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and preventive/predictive maintenance systems.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Excellent understanding of industrial safety, statutory compliance, and environmental regulations.
