- Conducted daily safety inspections of mining operations to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and workplace hazards, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Performed Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and risk assessments for all critical mining activities.
- Administered and monitored the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities, including Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Work at Height, Electrical Isolation (LOTO), Excavation, and Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
- Monitored safe operations of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM), including excavators, dumpers, dozers, graders, loaders, and drilling equipment.
- Ensured safe drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, crushing, and material handling operations in accordance with approved safety procedures.
- Conducted inspections of haul roads, mine benches,



slopes, access roads, and traffic management systems to ensure safe mining operations.
- Monitored lifting operations and inspected cranes, lifting tools, tackles, slings, and lifting accessories for compliance with safety standards.
- Conducted regular inspections of electrical installations, portable equipment, and machinery to ensure safe operation and statutory compliance.
- Delivered safety induction programs, toolbox talks, emergency response training, and task-specific safety briefings for employees and contractors.
- Ensured proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforced compliance with protected work practices across all mining activities.
