About Plaksha Incubation Centre

The Plaksha Incubation Centre (PIC) is the incubation and venture development arm of Plaksha University. It is incorporated under Section 8 of Companies Act. PICs ambition is to build a deep tech focused entrepreneurship ecosystem at Plaksha University setting the foundation for deep tech creation in North India. It aims to become the hub for deep tech innovation in the region, collaborating with Research Institutions (other Universities and Corporate R&D; centers) in the region, aggregating research infra, IP and talent from partners. It will enable real world validation and pilots with Industry partners. It will also build global connections with Alumni, Founder networks and Tech hubs. PIC will support students, faculty or alumni startups enabling translation of academic research into innovative applied technology, industry partnerships for commercialization and mentorship, and access to startup capital. It aims to support 50% startups from within Plaksha and an equal number from outside. PIC aims to partner with Government of India programs such as AIC (Atal Innovation Centre), TBI (Technology Business Incubator), DST, AIM, and Startup India by meeting eligibility norms and performance metrics.

Role: Associate/Senior Associate Plaksha Incubation Centre

Job Description

In this role, you'll contribute to developing and managing our incubation center, working closely with startups, mentors, and industry experts. You'll have the prospect to help shape programs, build partnerships, and support start-ups through various stages of development in a collaborative and mission focused environment.

You will report to Senior Manager - Plaksha Incubation Centre.





Facilitating Start-up Onboarding and Monitoring: Oversee the onboarding process for start-ups and ensure continuous monitoring of their progress through updated startup trackers. Manage WhatsApp groups with startups and be the face of the Centre for the students.

Awareness and Application of Government Schemes for Start-up

Funding: Stay informed about relevant government schemes and funding opportunities for start-ups and assist in applying for such schemes.

Ensuring Smooth Operations of the Incubator: Coordinate with teams across university functions to ensure the incubator operates efficiently. Ensure that the SharePoint is updated at all times. Maintain records of inventory, fund utilization and contracts.

Generating Periodic Reports on Incubation Progress: Compile and present monthly dashboards and budget reviews. Prepare compelling presentations for programs, reviews, and sessions.

Event Planning and Management: Organize and execute events, including workshops, networking sessions, and demo days, ensuring smooth planning and coordination.

Developing Incubation/Acceleration Programs & Processes: Participate in the design and implementation of 1-3 structured incubation and acceleration programs to support start-ups through various stages of growth.

Eligibility:





The ideal candidate for this role will be a dynamic professional with a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem and a strong drive to elevate the center as a leading hub for nurturing technology and engineering-focused startups.

At least 1-2 years of overall experience, preferably in an incubator setup.

Skills

Ability to design executive-level slides and dashboards

Understanding of business incubators and accelerators; term sheets etc.

Experience with writing funding applications is desirable.

Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

Good communications and presentation skills (verbal and written)
