Job Description

Hinduja Leyland Finance is looking for an experienced LAP Credit Manager to join our Mortgage Credit team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Loan Against Property (LAP) Credit Underwriting, credit appraisal, risk assessment, and end-to-end processing of secured loan proposals

.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform credit underwriting and appraisal of Loan Against Property (LAP) proposals.
- Evaluate customer profiles, financials, property documents, legal reports, and technical reports.
- Conduct personal discussions with customers and site visits wherever required.
- Coordinate with Legal, Technical, Sales, Operations, and Collections teams for seamless loan processing.
- Ensure timely processing of loan applications while maintaining defined TAT.
- Manage pre-sanction and post-sanction credit activities until disbursement.




- Monitor portfolio quality with a focus on early delinquency.
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk frameworks.
- Prepare and analyze MIS reports related to credit performance.
- Support process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mortgage/LAP Credit Underwriting.
- Robust understanding of secured lending, property evaluation, legal & technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and risk assessment skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver quality decisions
