Job Title QMS Engineer
Department Quality Assurance
Reporting To Quality Manager / Head Quality
Location IMT Manesar
Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

- 25 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within the Automotive or Manufacturing industry.
- Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System

- Maintain and improve the QMS in compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Prepare, review, and control Quality Manuals, SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Flow Charts, and Quality Records.
- Ensure effective document and record control.

Audit Management

- Plan and conduct Internal System Audits and Process Audits.
- Coordinate Customer, Certification, and Supplier Audits.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of NCs through CAPA.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain quality documentation as per customer and statutory requirements.
- Ensure all departments comply with QMS procedures.
- Monitor document revisions and version control.

Core Tools

- Support implementation and maintenance of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- FMEA
- MSA
- SPC
- Control Plans

- Assist production and quality teams in applying quality tools effectively.





Corrective & Preventive Actions

- Lead Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D methodology.
- Verify effectiveness of CAPA implementation.
- Monitor recurring quality issues and drive preventive actions.

Customer Quality

- Support customer quality documentation and submissions.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure timely closure of customer concerns.

Continuous Improvement

- Monitor QMS KPIs.
- Conduct process improvement activities using Lean, Kaizen, and PDCA methodologies.
- Promote quality awareness across the organization.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Good understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 8D.
- Knowledge of Internal Audit and Process Audit.
- Solid documentation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
