Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Diploma Electrical Engineer to support electrical maintenance and manufacturing operations at an automotive component manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations through electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machine support, and automation-related activities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in manufacturing plant electrical maintenance, production machine troubleshooting, and industrial electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Electrical Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize machine downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Handle maintenance of:
- LT Panels
- MCC Panels
- PCC Panels
- Switchgear systems
- DG Sets
- UPS systems
- Electrical distribution systems
- Carry out electrical inspections and ensure equipment reliability.
Manufacturing Machine Support
- Provide electrical maintenance support for production equipment such as:
- CNC machines
- Forging machines
- Press machines
- SPM machines
- Heat treatment equipment
- Compressors and utility equipment
- Attend machine breakdowns and restore equipment operation within minimum downtime.
- Coordinate with production teams for smooth manufacturing operations.
Automation & Control Systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and automation-related issues in manufacturing machines.
- Work on:
- PLC-based systems
- VFD drives
- Sensors
- Servo systems
- Control panels
- Electrical circuits
- Support machine modifications, electrical improvements, and automation activities.
Preventive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
- Analyze breakdown causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare part requirements.
- Support TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for energy saving and cost reduction.
Installation & Commissioning
- Support installation and commissioning of new machines and electrical equipment.
- Coordinate with OEM/service engineers during machine installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform electrical checks before machine commissioning.
Electrical Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety procedures including LOTO and PPE practices.
- Ensure safe working conditions during maintenance activities.
- Maintain electrical drawings, checklists, and maintenance documentation.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
