Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all Housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and guest satisfaction throughout the property.
- Plan, organise, and supervise the daily operations of guest rooms, public areas, laundry, linen, uniforms, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service areas to ensure compliance with brand standards and quality expectations.
- Ensure all VIP arrivals, special requests, long-stay guest rooms, and welcome amenities are prepared and maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate closely with the Front Office and Engineering departments to ensure room availability, preventive maintenance, and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance programmes.
- Prepare departmental budgets, monitor operating expenses, and implement cost-control measures while maintaining service excellence.
- Manage inventory of linen, uniforms, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping equipment to minimise wastage and ensure optimum stock levels.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping associates and supervisors to build a high-performing and guest-focused team.
- Prepare staff duty rosters, leave schedules,



and manpower planning to ensure efficient departmental operations.
- Monitor departmental productivity, analyse operational performance, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventories, lost and found items, deep-cleaning schedules, and housekeeping reports.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and enhanced guest satisfaction.
- Support hotel initiatives, quality audits, and brand compliance programmes while continuously driving operational excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management.
- Minimum 8 10 years of housekeeping experience, including at least 3 5 years in a managerial role within a reputed hotel or resort.
- Robust leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, inventory control, budgeting, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and guest service orientation.
