Packtek Packaging is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to lead our Rigid Box Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in rigid box manufacturing, production planning, manpower management, and shop floor operations.

We are looking for someone who leads from the shop floor, drives production efficiency, maintains quality standards, and builds a disciplined, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage complete plant operations of the rigid box manufacturing unit.
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved on time without compromising quality.
- Supervise shop floor operations and ensure smooth workflow across all production stages.
- Lead production supervisors, machine operators, helpers, and support staff.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices across the plant.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and overall equipment efficiency.
- Reduce production wastage, improve material utilization, and control manufacturing costs.
- Ensure proper production planning based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Purchase, Stores, Dispatch, Product Development, and Sales teams.
- Monitor raw material consumption and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain daily production reports, MIS, manpower reports, and productivity analysis.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Train, guide, and motivate the production team to improve productivity and discipline.




- Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions for process improvement.
- Drive accountability and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Rigid Box Manufacturing Processes.
- Hands-on experience in rigid box production machinery and finishing processes.
- Excellent production planning and scheduling skills.
- Solid knowledge of 5S Implementation, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement.
- Shop floor supervision and manpower management.
- Knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.

Preferred Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Rigid Box Manufacturing Plant.
- Experience handling complete plant operations and leading production teams.
- Experience managing production targets, quality, dispatch planning, and manpower.
- Candidates currently working in the rigid box, luxury packaging, premium packaging, or paper packaging industry will be preferred.

Qualification

- Graduate or Diploma in Engineering, Production, Industrial Management, or any relevant discipline.
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, or Production Management will be an added advantage.
