Role & responsibilities

- Conduct trend research and forecast analysis to conceptualize original rug/carpet artworks and collections.
- Develop designs and artworks using CAD/software with a strong understanding of color, texture, and construction.
- Manage the complete design process from concept development and color selection to construction finalization and approved product execution.
- Coordinate with buyers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and timely execution of developments.
- Review samples, approvals, and development progress, while suggesting alternative techniques or constructions to achieve the desired design outcome.
- Ensure all design projects are completed within timelines and meet quality expectations.
- Apply sound knowledge of yarns, fabrics, textures,



and carpet construction techniques in product development.
- Support showroom setups and seasonal presentations as per buyer aesthetics and collection direction.

Preferred candidate profile

- Prior experience in the carpet industry is essential.
- Robust knowledge of carpet design, yarns, textures, constructions, and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD / design software for artwork and product development.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with buyers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle multiple developments and work within deadlines.
- NIFT / NID graduates preferred.
