This Position reports to:

R&D; Department Lead

Your role and responsibilities : In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of Research and Development (R&D;) employees and support them in achieving the agreed R&D; targets. Each day, you will coach and develop the team. You will also showcase your expertise by helping in managing technologies, platforms, and Intellectual Property. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Business High Power Division, Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Managing a group of 10 Engineers including a variable number of external contract engineers and interns.
- Guide, coach, and mentor engineers on Career, Competence and Soft Skills.
- Structure and lead activities in the context of the scaled agile framework (SAFe).
- Promote a culture of continuous improvements always striving for quality and efficiency. Responsible for staffing projects with competent people, making sure that the workload of the overall team fits the assigned projects
- Drive resource and competence management globally within the software area. Foster a climate of innovation by motivating, guiding and empowering team members
- Ensure effective exchange of knowledge to promote collaboration and develop new technological approaches and solutions
- Safeguard quality assurance of all deliverables from the development team
- Ensure timely and on-budget execution of projects and work packages monitors progress and takes corrective actions if necessary. Ensure that the right product development processes and tools are adopted




- Propose and execute improvement processes within the Team
- Ensure and foster own organization and employees to gain the ability to challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects, and processes, and translates this into dedicated actions.
- Collaborate with the Local Business Management, on Customer Requirement, Customer Challenges, Local Market Business Potential and strategically pr pose, plan and execute for improving the Customer. Satisfaction and Business Volumes

Qualifications for the role:

- Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering / Technology with 12-14 years of experience in Desktop tools /
- Embedded Software Development, Project Management and People Management.
- Technical background in C#, .NET, WPF, VS, C++, Python Platforms.
- Solid background in research and development practices and processes
- Experienced in international and cross-cultural collaboration and leadership
- Project management skills, with proficiency in leading development teams or development labs
- Strong team-leader with skills in team development and a focus on results and accountability
- Knowledge and experience in PLCs, Industrial Automation solution/system Business, Converters, Motors, Electrical Machines domain is an added advantage.
