Role & responsibilities

- Develop and implement standard control architecture for all Heat Treatment equipment (PLC, HMI, sensors, safety interlocks etc)

- Define control logic and safety interlock standards for machines and workstations

- Work with vendors and OEMs to retrofit or upgrade legacy systems to standardized platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)

- Ensure cybersecurity and version control for PLC programs and HMI configurations

- Implement IoT-enabled condition monitoring, predictive Production, and machine data acquisition

- Collaborate with digital transformation teams to deploy smart sensors and networked devices

- Integrate machine-level data with MES/SCADA systems for real-time performance monitoring

-Ensure maximum availability and reliability of all electrical and automation systems in the heat treatment shop.

- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown Production for Heat treatment equipment effectively

- Minimize downtime by implementing robust root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions

- Maintain spares inventory and coordinate with procurement for critical items

- Develop and manage annual Production budgets and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE)

- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians





- Ensure compliance with EHS standards and statutory regulations for electrical and control systems

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives like TPM, 5S, and Lean Production

- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, and industrial panels.
- Good understanding of instrumentation and process control (PID loops, sensors).
- Knowledge of heat treatment process & equipment basics and control requirements.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, servo systems, and industrial networking protocols.
- Experience with IoT implementations and predictive Production systems
- Proficiency in TPM pillars (JH, PM, Kaizen) and continuous improvement tools.
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good co-ordination skill

Preferred candidate profile

4-8+ years in Heat treatment & machine Shop (Must)

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, and industrial panels .

Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, servo systems, and industrial networking protocols.

Knowledge of heat treatment process & equipment basics and control requirements.

Proficiency in TPM pillars (JH, PM, Kaizen) and continuous improvement tools.
