Title: REMOTE - Senior Mac Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain the macOS management platform in Jamf Pro, including computers, policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, extension attributes, and lifecycle workflows from enrollment through retirement.
- Architect and operate iOS/iPhone management in Microsoft Intune, including enrollment, compliance, app deployment, configuration profiles, and Apple Business Manager / Automated Device Enrollment integration.
- Partner on the shared Intune tenant for Apple platform identity, compliance, and enrollment overlap with the broader endpoint management program.
- Own engineering escalations from L1/L2 helpdesk and desktop support: diagnose root cause, deliver durable fixes, and document patterns so repeat issues resolve at lower tiers.
- Support developer and engineering Mac environments, including Xcode, local dev tooling, and custom packages collaborating with packaging teams on PKG deployment, scripting, CodeSign, and PPPC/TCC requirements without owning the packaging queue.
- Develop and maintain macOS and iOS standards: security baselines, compliance rules, OS update strategy, FileVault, privilege management, and application deployment models.
- Build and maintain automation (scripts, API integrations, Jamf extension attributes, repeatable workflows) to reduce manual operations and improve fleet consistency.
- Lead troubleshooting for complex issues: enrollment failures, profile conflicts, app install failures, OS upgrade blockers, MDM communication, and compliance drift.
- Define and maintain runbooks, architecture documentation, and standard operating procedures for Mac and iOS platform operations.
- Evaluate Apple OS releases, Jamf/Intune feature updates, and industry best practices; pilot changes and drive phased production rollout.
- Provide technical guidance to platform engineers and peer teams; participate in limited on-call rotation for critical Mac/iOS platform outages.

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used:





- Expert-level Jamf Pro administration: policies, profiles, scoped deployments, inventory, reporting, and API-driven automation.
- Strong Microsoft Intune experience for Apple mobile devices (iOS/iPhone) and shared tenant work (enrollment, compliance, app management, ABM integration).
- Deep macOS knowledge: ADE/DEP enrollment, package deployment, PPPC/TCC, system extensions, logging, and troubleshooting beyond GUI-level fixes.
- Solid iOS MDM concepts: supervised vs unsupervised, ABM app delivery, compliance policies, and escalation-level troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting developer Macs and engineering tooling (Xcode, dev/AI packages, non-standard install workflows).
- Proficiency with shell scripting (bash/zsh) and automation; PowerShell a plus where Intune workflows intersect with broader endpoint standards.
- Working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), Apple Business Manager, PKI/certificate deployment, and enterprise identity on Apple devices.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable owning ambiguous, high-impact escalations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Typical Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years managing macOS at enterprise scale; 3+ years hands-on Jamf Pro in a senior capacity.
- Demonstrated experience managing iOS devices via Intune in a corporate environment.
- Experience supporting escalations from a tiered support model (L1/L2 to platform engineering).
- Jamf certification (300/400) and/or Apple IT certification preferred.

Requirements:

- Proven ability to design and operate Mac and iOS management platforms — not only execute tickets.
- Expert Jamf Pro and strong Intune-for-Apple-mobile skills.
- Track record of resolving complex, non-routine endpoint issues and preventing recurrence.
