About the Role

We are looking for a Lead AWS Solutions Architect to establish and lead our AWS Practice. This is a strategic techno-functional leadership role requiring expertise in AWS Solution Architecture, Pre-Sales, Cloud Migration, Delivery Management, and Team Leadership.

You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of AWS engagements from customer discovery and solution design to implementation, migration, managed services, and post-production support. You will also represent the organization as the primary technical contact with AWS and customers.

Role & responsibilities

- Design secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized AWS architectures.
- Create High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
- Conduct AWS Well-Architected Framework Reviews (WAFR).
- Recommend optimal AWS services based on business and technical requirements.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

- Lead customer discovery workshops and technical discussions.
- Prepare Solution Architecture, SOW, BOQ, LOE, proposals, and effort estimations.
- Participate in RFP/RFI responses and customer presentations.
- Translate business requirements into cloud solutions.

Cloud Migration & Implementation

- Lead cloud migration initiatives using AWS best practices.
- Design Landing Zones and AWS networking architecture.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Drive modernization, migration, and cloud transformation projects.

Delivery & Operations





- Own end-to-end project delivery.
- Manage technical risks and project governance.
- Lead production support, RCA, and critical escalations.
- Define SLA, monitoring, security, and operational excellence.

AWS Practice Leadership

- Build and mentor AWS Architects, Cloud Engineers, and DevOps Engineers.
- Define AWS delivery standards and best practices.
- Drive AWS Partner initiatives, competencies, and certifications.
- Collaborate with AWS Partner Development Managers and AWS Account Teams.

Preferred candidate profile

- 10+ years of IT experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on AWS Architecture experience.
- Experience working with an AWS Partner, Cloud Consulting, MSP, or System Integrator.
- Proven experience leading cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Strong customer-facing consulting experience.
- Experience leading technical teams.

Certifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (required)

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional (preferred)

Additional specialty certifications (Security, Networking, Database) are a plus.

Good to have

- Experience across multi-cloud or hybrid environments (Azure/GCP exposure).
- Experience with FinOps / cloud cost optimization practices.
- Background in a customer-facing consulting or MSP workplace.
- Experience contributing to AWS competency applications or partner audits.
