Elevate is looking for a Senior Associate - Engineering Drafting to support end-to-end patent drafting and prosecution activities, primarily for US and European jurisdictions. The role requires strong technical writing skills, independent research capability, and expertise in drafting high-quality patent applications and responses.

Specifically, the Senior Associate Engineering Drafting will

- Prepare complete patent applications (provisional and non-provisional) in US and EP styles, including detailed descriptions, embodiments, and variations.
- Draft patent claims with a robust focus on scope optimization, clarity, and alignment with invention disclosures.
- Develop patent specifications (2000+ words) through independent technical research, ensuring originality and coherence.
- Support and preferably handle Office Action (OA) responses, including responses to 102, 103, and 112 rejections (US) and corresponding EP objections.
- Work closely with inventors, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to extract technical insights and convert them into structured patent documents.
- Perform prior art awareness and integrate claim strategies to improve patentability and defensibility.
- Ensure consistency in terminology, claim dependency structure, and alignment between claims and specification.

Experience

- 2 + years experience in patent drafting for US, EP and Indian.




- Experience working with global clients in engineering domains.
- Exposure to end-to-end patent lifecycle (drafting to prosecution).

- Familiarity with common patent prosecution practices and standards (USPTO/EPO).

Qualifications

- Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical.
