ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, execute, and supervise all road construction and external development (ED) works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Manage site activities related to:
- Road works (WMM, GSB, DBM, BC, PQC, etc., as applicable)
- Storm water drainage
- Sewer and water supply networks
- Footpaths, kerbs, pavers, and hardscaping
- Boundary walls, external utility services, and landscape-related civil works

- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution and quality compliance.
- Monitor daily progress, manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and material consumption.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and maintain construction records.
- Verify work measurements jointly with clients/consultants and maintain measurement books (MB).
- Prepare and certify subcontractor bills based on executed quantities.
- Prepare client RA (Running Account) bills, quantity reconciliation statements, and final bills.
- Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, variation statements, and extra item calculations.




- Coordinate with the QS/Billing team for timely submission of bills and supporting documentation.
- Track project costs, material reconciliation, and wastage to ensure cost control.
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure work is completed within project timelines while maintaining quality and budget objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 8-13 years of experience in road construction and external development works.
- Strong knowledge of road construction methodologies, pavement layers, utility infrastructure, and external civil works.
- Proven experience in preparing client bills, subcontractor bills, RA bills, quantity measurements, and BOQs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Positive understanding of IS codes, quality standards, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office. Experience with billing/QS software is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently handle site execution, measurements, and billing activities.
