About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with dedicated expertise in Vendor Master Data (VMD) Management. The ideal candidate will be the primary custodian and Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for managing the complete vendor lifecycle in SAPincluding onboarding, multi-tier document verification, company/plant code extensions, ongoing database hygiene, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. End-to-End Vendor Master Data Management:

- Onboarding & Creation: Lead the end-to-end creation, modification, amendment, and extension of Vendor Master Data across various Company Codes and Plant Codes in SAP.
- Lifecycle Maintenance: Execute vendor status updates, including blocking, unblocking, and archiving vendor accounts in strict accordance with the internal approval matrix.
- Database Hygiene & Auditing: Perform routine hygiene checks, database deduplication, and periodic cleanup of the vendor master database to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- VMD Custodianship: Act as the primary SME and point of contact for all Vendor Master Data activities within the Finance & Accounts Payable team.

2. Verification, Fraud Control & Governance:

- Document Verification:



Thoroughly audit and verify all critical supporting documents before onboarding or updating vendors (GST/Tax certificates, PAN cards, cancelled cheques, bank details, and MSME certificates).
- Fraud Prevention: Enforce multi-tier validation controls to prevent duplicate vendor accounts or fraudulent bank detail updates.
- Data Confidentiality & Compliance: Safeguard sensitive vendor data (bank details, tax IDs, agreement terms) in compliance with company data governance policies and tax regulations (GST/TDS/MSME).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, with primary expertise in Vendor Master Data (VMD).
- ERP Expertise (Mandatory): Strong working knowledge of SAP (specifically AP/VMD modules and transaction codes).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of tax compliance checks (GST, TDS, PAN, MSME) and bank verification protocols.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong sense of confidentiality, process integrity, and positive communication skills.
