Position: Lead Investment Analyst Startup Scouting

About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Lead Investment Analyst Startup Scouting to identify, evaluate, and support high-potential startup investment opportunities across various sectors. The candidate will play a critical role in startup sourcing, market research, due diligence, founder evaluation, and investment analysis within the venture capital and startup ecosystem.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in venture capital, private equity, startup ecosystem, investment banking, or startup scouting with strong exposure to early-stage investments.

Key Responsibilities
Startup Scouting & Deal Sourcing

- Identify and source high-potential startups across sectors such as fintech, SaaS, AI, health tech, consumer tech, climate tech, and emerging industries.
- Build and maintain a strong network with founders, incubators, accelerators, angel networks, venture capital firms, and startup communities.
- Attend startup events, pitch sessions, demo days, networking forums, and investment conferences for deal sourcing.
- Create and manage a pipeline of investment opportunities aligned with the company's investment strategy.

Investment Analysis & Due Diligence

- Conduct detailed market research, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking.
- Evaluate startup business models, financial performance, scalability, and growth potential.
- Perform financial analysis, valuation modelling, and investment risk assessment.
- Support end-to-end due diligence including commercial, financial, operational, and founder assessments.




- Prepare investment memos, reports, presentations, and recommendation notes for internal stakeholders.

Founder & Stakeholder Management

- Engage with startup founders and leadership teams to understand business vision and execution capability.
- Coordinate with internal investment committees and external stakeholders during investment evaluation.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with portfolio and prospective startups.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

- Track emerging market trends, investment opportunities, startup ecosystem developments, and sector-specific insights.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on investment opportunities and market intelligence.
- Support portfolio monitoring and post-investment analysis where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA/CA/CFA (preferred).
- 5 to 6 years of experience in Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Startup Ecosystem, Corporate Strategy, or Investment Research.
- Strong understanding of startup evaluation, fundraising, venture investments, and financial modelling.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in startup scouting and investment pipeline management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
