Job Title: Department Head Sheet Metal

Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Job Summary

Responsible for leading end-to-end sheet metal manufacturing operations, ensuring achievement of production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and productivity targets through effective planning, resource utilization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage sheet metal production operations (Press Shop, Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly).
- Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum quality, cost, and delivery.
- Plan manpower, machines, and material requirements.
- Coordinate with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores for smooth operations.
- Monitor productivity, OEE, rejection, downtime, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and mentor department teams to improve performance and productivity.
- Prepare production reports, analyze KPIs, and support business objectives.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 12–18 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
