Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, finished products, and other inventory items.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to reconcile physical and system inventory.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Store Operations:
- Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials.
- Ensure proper labeling and protected storage of hazardous chemicals as per regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams for inventory planning.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols for handling and storing chemicals.
- Ensure compliance with statutory norms like Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), labeling, and storage conditions.
- Regularly inspect storage facilities for adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain and update inventory management systems.
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly stock and consumption reports.
- Handle documentation for goods received, goods issued, and inter-departmental transfers.
- Vendor and Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of raw materials and spare parts.
- Liaise with logistics teams to ensure smooth transportation and dispatch of materials.
- Team Supervision:
- Lead and train store personnel in inventory management and safety practices.
- Assign tasks to ensure efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Operations:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, delivery, and warehousing.
- Optimize routes and manage transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and implement measures to reduce inventory discrepancies.
- Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and other service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings and service excellence.
- Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields. A diploma or certification in chemical handling or warehousing will be an advantage.
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing industry.
