Backend Software Engineer II (Java Backend) Bengaluru

The Role

- We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer II with solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, and Backend System Design to join our engineering team.
- You will work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers to build scalable backend platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Build and maintain APIs, tools, and platform capabilities that centralize and process high-volume data events.
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions.
- Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Improve development processes, automation, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support activities.

Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.




- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17+).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience building Microservices-based applications.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

System Design Expectations

- Ability to design scalable backend services and APIs.
- Experience participating in architecture and system design discussions.
- Knowledge of database design, service integrations, and performance optimization.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and recommend practical solutions.
