Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Heavy Equipment Erection (Jetty Area)

Location: Dahej, Gujarat

Experience: 15 to 20 Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Industry: EPC / PMC / Infrastructure / Industrial Projects

Job Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise heavy equipment erection activities within the jetty/project area.
- Coordinate on a day-to-day basis with equipment vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of erection activities.
- Conduct technical discussions and resolve erection-related engineering and site issues.
- Monitor and implement rigging and lifting methodologies in compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Review erection plans, method statements, lifting studies, and related technical documentation.
- Ensure proper execution of heavy lifting and equipment installation activities as per approved procedures.
- Supervise site activities and ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
- Maintain and review all technical records, inspection reports, and erection documentation.




- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, work permits, and site HSE requirements.
- Support project management in planning, progress monitoring, and reporting of mechanical erection activities.

Key Requirements

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 15 to 20 years of experience in mechanical construction and heavy equipment erection for large industrial projects.
- Proven experience in handling heavy lifting, rigging operations, and equipment installation activities.
- Robust understanding of erection methodologies, construction practices, and safety requirements.
- Experience working in jetty, marine, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, power, or similar industrial projects will be an added advantage.
- Excellent coordination, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage contractors and site execution teams effectively.
