- Prior experience leading and managing a sales team is mandatory.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager to lead business development initiatives within the SME lending segment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in secured business loans, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive business growth through effective team management and customer relationship development.

Key Responsibilities Sales Business Development

- Drive sales of SME lending products including Cash Credit (CC), Overdraft (OD), and Term Loans.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets.
- Generate new business through open market sourcing, channel partners, referrals, and networking.
- Identify current market opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify business opportunities.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals.
- Set performance goals and monitor individual and team productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members.
- Foster a high-performance and customer-focused sales culture.

Client Relationship Management

- Develop long-term relationships with SME customers and business partners.
- Understand customer funding requirements and recommend appropriate financial solutions.




- Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining high service standards.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional financial products.

Business Planning Reporting

- Prepare periodic sales reports and business performance updates.
- Track key performance indicators and ensure target achievement.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth processing and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile Educational Qualification

- Bachelor s Degree in any discipline.
- MBA, PGDM, CA, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of SME lending products including CC, OD, and Term Loans.
- Knowledge of working capital finance and business loan assessment.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Good analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM applications is preferred.
