Job Purpose:

The ELV Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation, testing and commissioning of ELV systems. This role involves preparation and cross verification of shop drawings, review of drawings/documents by contractors, material assessment and quantification, managing a team of supervisor & technicians, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the Contract documents and industry standards, and to carry out the testing and commissioning activities and effectively carry out the handing over of the system with relevant documentation

Role & responsibilities :-

- Review and approve shop drawings prepared by the ELV Subcontractor.

- Assign various tasks to the subcontractors/supervisors as per the shop drawings and the schedule of the

project.

- Assess the works based on the schedule and provide assistance to the site team in carrying out the works.

- To maintain proper communication with the subcontractor to engage him/them in completing their works

on schedule.

- To quantify the material requirements for the project procurement.

- Quantification of works for review and certification of RA Bills.

- Supervise and lead a team of ELV supervisors, technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.





- Coordinate work schedules and assignments to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.

- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning of ELV systems, including air conditioning, ventilation,

and refrigeration systems.

- Ensure that work meets quality standards and complies with relevant codes and regulations.

- Assign tasks to ELV subcontractors/technicians based on productivity, skills and workload.

- Coordinate with other Subcontractors / Supervisory staff to schedule and coordinate ELV related

activities.

- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on complex ELV issues.

- Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies. - Assist technicians/supervisors in troubleshooting of ELV systems and identifying root causes of malfunctions. - Develop and implement effective solutions to address system issues promptly. - Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship. - Provide updates on project status, timelines, and potential disruptions. - Collaborate with procurement teams to source necessary materials and equipment. - Ensure that inventory levels are maintained for essential ELV components. - Coordinate with HSE Team to facilitate work permits. - Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
